Why me?  That's easy- I've been where you are!

I have been very fortunate in my life to experience many things.  Even as a toddler I had a gift for athletics and really excelled in baseball.  I was an annual All-Star team player, received many awards and truly had a passion for playing baseball.

As it turned out, I was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 29th round of the baseball draft.  I played into my 3rd season and suffered a broken rib and torn muscles in my rib cage while pitching in a spring training game in Mesa, Arizona.  That was the end of my baseball career and the beginning of my life as a "regular Joe"

That is where my real journey began!

I came back home to Las Vegas (which is where I grew up) and got a job in construction.  I slowly got out of shape, I was eating the wrong foods, drinking too many sodas and beers, and living a generally unhealthy lifestyle like most other people today.

As the years passed by my weight slowly ballooned and my fitness went out the window.  There were a bunch of little signs that kept telling me I was going in the wrong direction.  I couldn't keep up with my son's when playing ball outside.  I couldn't run three houses down the street without needing to take a break to catch my breath!  It was only 3 houses.  When we went camping I wanted to make sure and find a spot that wasn't too far from the road so we didn't have to walk to far up hill.  And this was from a person who was one of the best athletes in the country, a former professional baseball player

What really got my attention was a telephone conversation I had with my mom.  On the phone one day I told her I had constant ringing in my ears and didn't know why.  She immediately responded with " You need to go have your blood pressure checked".  I did.  And it scared me.  I was in my early 30's and had borderline high blood pressure.  My risk for heart disease, stroke, heart attack, and many other things were exponentially higher because of the lifestyle I was leading.  I had a poor diet and I was inactive.

As it turned out, all I needed to do to lower my blood pressure was eat right and exercize.  That was all I had to do? It couldn't really be that easy?  It was.  It is.  After reaching a top weight of 255 pounds I changed my diet and began to exercize.  I have now lost a total of 55-60 pounds and I am healthy.  My blood pressure is now very low, my resting heart rate average is 38 beats per minute!  And I feel healthy from the inside out.

I now compete in triathlons and am one of the top local triathletes at the Sprint and Olympic distance with a goal of being a top athlete at the Half-Ironman distance.

The point of telling you this story is simple.  First, whether you are severely overweight and out of shape and don't know where to start, I've been there!  I've second guessed myself and my ability to lose all of the weight I had put on over the years.  I was embarrassed that I could only run a few houses down the street and I was wiped out!  Secondly, if you are a top level athlete who wants to improve, I've also been there.  Or if you just need to shed a few extra pounds to get those 6 pack abs, I can do that too.  I know what it takes maximize your workouts and acheive your fitness goals!

No matter what your goals are I can help.  I will take your fitness as serious as I take my own, that is my committment to you.  Now you just need to commit to yourself.  What are you waiting for?

Fit Happens!
